Because this halter is virtually unbreakable it is not recommended for daily tying, fastening into trailers or for loose horses in a field. It is intended to be used in a training situation with a person at the other end of the rope. If you do tie a horse in this halter, break-away strings are advised.

This halter is especially
designed with training in mind. It is lighter weight than most
halters and yet stronger and less comfortable for a horse to push,
pull or lean against. It does not have any parts that constrict or
clamp down, but the rope itself allows for more comfort when a horse
follows the feel of the lead rope and more discomfort if the horse
pushes or pulls.
